On Aug. 1 the Joplin Regional Partnership accepted a marketing communications award at the Southern Economic Development Council’s annual conference.

The organization’s email marketing campaign earned an “Excellent” award for its effort in telling the region’s business story to prospective employers, according to a news release.

“Once again, our marketing efforts have been recognized by a group of our economic development peers,” said Rob O’Brian, president of the organization. “It’s especially nice to know our work is performing for the people in the Joplin region.”

The Joplin Regional Partnership is a seven-county, three-state organization that consists of Barton, Jasper and Newton counties in Missouri; Crawford, Cherokee and Labette counties in Kansas; and Ottawa County in Oklahoma.
