Neosho City Manager Troy Royer says the addition of a new truck stop has had a positive impact on the city’s budget. Royer says the Loves’s Truck Stop is likely the cause of a small increase in the city’s sales tax revenue. He says it could have an even bigger impact in the future.
“So grateful we have Love’s out there because I do believe it will bring future business to that area, which will increase our sales tax. So, I see hope in the future for that and hope in the future for our budget to even get better,” said Troy Royer, Neosho City Manager.
Royer says the small sales tax increase will help cover the cost of adding two new cars to the police department’s fleet, as well as continuing to upgrade city buildings and property.
