Region's First Build My Future Construction Expo Comes to Newton County

The Workforce Investment Board hosted the region's first Build My Future Construction Expo & Hiring Event on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Newton County Fairgrounds. Crossland Construction took the event's title sponsorship.

Build My Future events give students hands-on exposure to construction trades — equipment, tools and the people who use them — alongside employers hiring for those roles.

Events like this are part of the workforce pipeline that makes the Neosho area attractive to employers: the first question almost every company asks is whether they can staff a project here.
